Scientists in California say they have produced embryos that are clones of two men, a potential step toward developing scientifically valuable stem cells.

Parents may be left with only love and lots of liquid to give their sniffling babies and toddlers now that the government is declaring over-the-counter cough and cold medicines too risky for tots.

Kansans attack abortion via grand juries
Religious conservatives have dusted off a largely forgotten 1887 state law that allows citizens to launch grand jury investigations, and they are using it to help turn Kansas into one of the nation's biggest abortion battlegrounds.

Report: U.S. abortions decline
The number of abortions in the United States dropped to 1.2 million in 2005, the lowest level since 1974 and down 25 percent from the all-time high of 1.6 million in 1990, according to report issued Thursday.

Conn. baby sitter faces murder charge
A baby sitter appeared in court Thursday to face a charge that she killed a toddler by playfully swinging him in a sleeping bag, while miles away his mother buried him in a frozen grave.
