A one-year-old boy has died after being attacked by a dog at a relative's home in Wakefield.
The child was in the yard of the property when the family pet, a Rottweiler, launched the attack.
The boy was taken to Pinderfields General Hospital with serious injuries but later died.
A post-mortem examination will take place today.
