Student killed in love triangle involving teacher
Police in Arizona say a high school student having an affair with his 48-year-old math teacher was stabbed to death after the woman's 20-year-old boyfriend found them together in her bedroom.
Officers in Chandler said Tuesday that Sixto Balbuena found his girlfriend naked and the 18-year-old student in his boxer shorts in the woman's bedroom early Friday.
Police say Balbuena told them he kicked and punched Samuel Valdivia after Valdivia apologized to him.
A police probable cause statement says Balbuena told them he "wanted to teach the victim a lesson," and stabbed him in the side with a kitchen knife.
Valdivia died at a hospital.

Robert Moran entered the plea Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale federal court, the same day the charges were unsealed. Moran faces up to three years in prison and $250,000 in fines when sentenced June 26.
